Now that 2016 is closer to an end and we are around Christmas. Can we think of some give-aways? Things need not given on a much materialistic note. It can just well be a note of gratitude. One can also meditate about wonderful people who brought some change/some cheer to our lives. Mindfulness is a unique tool which can support that idea. There is something called “Loving Kindness Meditation” in which we can wish ourselves and others well. We can also think of meeting an old friend and for a change, listening to him/her rather than talking ourselves.
New Year Resolutions may not work for many of us. But many things do work and they include truly appreciating people who work for us, thinking fondly of people who have helped us in the past or even distributing sweets without linking it to any occasion etc
Can we think of doing at least three things which can bring a cheer, a smile to ourselves and others?
The time starts now! I am writing the three things which I would do and they are as follows;
- Sending eGifts to my earlier coaching clients
- Sending notes of gratitude to at least 10 people I know
- Practicing Loving Kindness Meditation at least once a day till the 1st of January 2017 (and perhaps inculcate as a long term practice!)
